Clare College holds two Teacher and Adviser Conferences in Cambridge each year for teachers and advisers from schools and colleges across the UK.

Find out more and register to attend our next Teacher and Adviser Conference below.

When do the Teacher Days take place?

We run in-person Teacher and Adviser Conferences in March and June every year.

The dates for the 2024 Teacher and Adviser Conferences are as follows:

  • Friday 8 March 2024: booking closed.
  • Friday 28 June 2024: registration is now open! Book your place here.

How much do these events cost?

Nothing! These events are free of charge. Lunch and refreshments are included.

It is important to us that cost of travel to Cambridge should not exclude colleagues from attending. If you would like to talk to us about how we can support your school with the cost of travel to Cambridge for this event, please contact Libby, Outreach & Admissions Officer, at schoolsliaison@clare.cam.ac.uk.

Who are these events aimed at?

These events are aimed at teachers and advisers at UK schools who wish to learn more about what our Admissions Tutors look for in an application to Cambridge.

All levels of familiarity with Cambridge are welcome. At each event, we typically meet a mixture of teachers who are new to supporting students making an application to Cambridge and those who have years of experience doing so, and we welcome the productive discussion this creates.

Teachers who attend these events often have roles in school with responsibility for university applications such as UCAS Coordinator, Careers/HE Lead, or Head of Year 13 (for example), but these are by no means a requirement and we welcome teachers of all career stages and subject specialisms.

Most attendees at these events are the sole representative from their school, but we are happy for each school to have up to three members of staff in attendance per event.

Please note: in the first instance, the Teacher Day in June 2024 is only open to teachers and advisers at state (non-fee paying) schools in the UK. If spaces remain available closer to the event taking place, we will open the events up to teachers and advisers at all UK schools.
