The Role

This role is a part-time position, suitable for someone working in the medical sciences at Cambridge. The responsibilities of a Director of Studies are to look after the academic needs of students in the medical sciences, working with other members of the College to ensure that they are taught effectively through the course, and prepared both for university examinations and for professional development towards the clinical course. Directors of Studies are together responsible for the admission of students in the medical sciences, working with the College’s Admissions Tutors and Senior Tutor. It is expected that Directors of Studies will teach some part of the preclinical course, as well as meeting their students at the beginning and end of each term. The successful candidate is expected to be elected to a Fellowship and be a part of the community and governance of Clare College. Professors Phil Jones and Paul Fletcher, our current pre-clinical directors of studies, would be happy to discuss the details of the role.

Salary

The payment is set at £150.00 multiplied by the number of undergraduate students in the DoS group.
