Assistant Bursar


The Assistant Bursar is responsible for legal and administrative support to the College including for a number of Committees (Choir, Clare May Ball, Council, Estates, Finance, Investment, and PREVENT), and the independent charitable trusts.  She deputises for the Bursar whenever required.  She is responsible for internal communications, is the Freedom of Information Officer, the College's Data Protection Lead, and is the principal point of contact for Charity Commission issues. She is Chair of the Heads of Departments and Operational Heads of Departments meetings, and line-manager for Accommodation, Gardens, Sportsground, and Boat Club.  She also represents the College at the Bursars’ Legal Affairs and Employment Sub-Committee, the Bursars’ Tourism Sub-Committee, and at the Backs’ Committee

Miss Emma Easterbrook read Oriental Studies (Egyptology) at Trinity College, Cambridge before converting to law.  She is a member of the Honourable Society of the Middle Temple.  She practised as a common law barrister and is now a door tenant at 5 Pump Court, London.  Before joining the College in 2014 she was employed by Her Majesty’s Courts and Tribunals Service as a Legal Adviser.
