Sous Chef

We have a vacancy for a Sous Chef reporting to the Head Chef.

This is full time position working 37.5 hours per week excluding a 30 minute lunch break.

The Role

As a main player in the catering management team you will be providing a consistently high level of service to students, staff, College guests, Fellows and conference delegates. 

Suitably qualified, your CV will reflect your experience in quality kitchens.  You will be able to demonstrate a solid background in industrial and banqueting catering and, driven by your love for producing excellent food, you will have definite and realistic ambitions to become a Head Chef. Part of the role involves undertaking routine administrative tasks so you will need to be computer literate.

A team player, your creative flair and ability to develop and inspire a team, will help to ensure that Clare College upholds its reputation for outstanding catering.

Salary and Benefits

The salary for the post is up to £31,500 p.a. DOE. Plus paid overtime and bonus. In addition, the College offers membership of a defined contributions pension scheme, membership of a medical cashback scheme, parking and lunch in college during working hours.
