Lost Property

All items of lost property are handed into the Porters' Lodges. These are logged and stored in a single location pending a claimant coming forward. If you have lost an item then go to any of the Porters’ Lodges and they will check for you on the lost property register to see if an item of that description has been handed in.

All property is retained for a two month period after which it is disposed of.  We do all that we can to find the owners of lost valuable items prior to the items being disposed of.  We dispose of items in two ways: serviceable items are disposed of at local charity shops; valuable items are sold and the proceeds given to a charity.

Items left in rooms at the end of term

If you leave items behind in your accomodation we will bag the items, date and label them with your room number and store them for 2 weeks.  After two weeks, unclaimed items are disposed of.
