Welcome to Clare College Libraries and Archives

The Forbes Mellon Library (FML) in Memorial Court is the College Library for Clare College. All members of Clare College are welcome to use the Library and its services. The Library contains approximately 30,000 books to support undergraduate study in all subjects, with some more specialised material suitable for postgraduate study. Undergraduates and postgraduates are welcome to make use of the variety of comfortable study spaces. There are two computer rooms, on the ground and first floors, which provide access to specialist software via shared Managed Cluster Service (MCS) computers, and also provide printing and scanning facilities. The Library Common Room (LCR) provides a more relaxed working environment, with easy chairs and a light fiction collection.

Guidance for working safely in the Library and details of library services are available on the Forbes Mellon Library Moodle site

The Lipstein and Turpin Law Reading Rooms (LLRR & TLRR) on J staircase in Memorial Court are for Law and Land  Economy students.  They contain current textbooks and periodicals, study spaces, computing and printing facilities.

The Fellows' Library in Old Court houses the College's older material, including manuscripts and early printed books.

The College Archives, situated on J staircase, contain the documentary evidence of the history and life of the College
