Clare College Cambridge

Clare College is forging links with schools across Coventry to ensure that all students who attend schools in the city have access to honest, detailed and accurate information about university in general and Cambridge in particular. We want Coventry students to aim high when it comes to considering Higher Education, and our aim is to motivate students to achieve the best that they can in their academic careers.

For sixth-formers considering an application to Cambridge, we want to provide support in every way that we can, including guidance on personal statements, UCAS applications, interview techniques and increasing subject knowledge outside of the classroom.

Although we are not currently offering in-person events, if you are a student or teacher from Coventry, please contact our Schools Liaison Officer to find out about opportunities for your school.

Clare College also organises an annual "Access Tour", details of which are normally circulated in early January. Due to COVID, the Access tour will not run this year, but will return in future years!

Access Bus

When? March

Where? Schools in Coventry & Warwickshire

Who? School students from Year 7-12

What? Groups of undergraduates tour the area for a week, trying to visit as many schools as they can. They deliver workshops and talks about university life, and give school students the opportunity to ask all those questions they would never ask their teacher. This is an enormously popular initiative, and visits are offered on a first-come-first-served basis.
