Student Subject Representatives: 2021-2022: Megan Whiteley
Unlike all the other subjects, books relevant to the study of ASNC from all areas of the Library are shelved together on the ground floor. iDiscover, the Library catalogue, will give the location ‘Anglo-Saxon Norse & Celtic Section’
This collection includes books on Religion, Linguistics, Art & Architecture, Literature and History. Shelved there are also volumes of Anglo-Saxon England and Cambrian Medieval Celtic Studies, and pamphlets in the series of H.M. Chadwick Memorial Lectures, Jarrow Lectures, Kathleen Hughes Memorial Lectures on medieval Welsh history and Quiggin pamphlets on the sources of mediaeval Gaelic history.
All the ASNC books are labelled to say that they are in the ASNC section and they also have red dots on the spines. Sometimes they are shelved in their ‘correct’ numerical sequence by mistake, so if the book that you are looking for is not in the ASNC section but is Available according to the catalogue then look for it at the appropriate number.
If we do not have a book that you need you are welcome to fill in a Book Recommendation Form.
