Activities for Primary Schools
Owing to COVID, we are not currently running in-person events. However, we are happy to receive enquiries from schools on schools@clare.cam.ac.uk and to discuss booking virtual events in the spring or summer.
In normal times, the timetable below outlines a typical school visit to Clare. Timings and activities can be tailored according to the individual needs of your school; please do get in touch with the Schools Liaison Officers to book or request more information.

Variety of afternoon activities including: Museum visits where possible visits will be led by a member of the Museum Staff and allow students to interact with the exhibits. All Museums provide resources for schools. Possibilities include: Fitzwilliam Museum Art and Antiquities Zoology Museum Fossils, Skeletons and Specimens Museum of Classical Archaeology Cast Museum of Greek and Roman Statues Sedgwick Museum of Earth Sciences History of Life on Earth Academic sessions The College's academic staff (Fellows) and postgraduate students can offer a wide variety of subject-themed sessions, which are lecture or activity-based. Subjects can be chosen at the request of the school, perhaps to fit in with a recent school topic, or the Schools Liaison Officers can offer suggestions. Tours and Quizzes Tours of the town centre, led by SLOs or undergraduates. We can incorporate a historical quiz and arrange entry to areas of local interest (eg. King's College Chapel) upon request. |
