Quentin comes from Toulouse in France where he did a Masters in Fluid Dynamics. He then proceeded to do a PhD in CERFACS, still in Toulouse, on “Analysis and reduction of chemical kinetics for combustion applications”, completed in July 2021. This was followed by a first postdoc at the same lab working on the numerical simulation of different fuels such as hydrogen, kerosene, SAF or ammonia.

He arrived in the UK in October 2023 to work under the supervision of Professor Epaminondas Mastorakos on several aspects of combustion numerical simulation, including dual-fuel flames or hydrogen combustion.

His interests are broadly the numerical simulation of the new fuels and combustion systems to allow further mitigation of human-emissions in a context of sustainable energy usage
