Clare College Cambridge

Visits to your School

Owing to COVID, we are not currently running in-person visits to schools. However, we are happy to receive enquiries from schools on schools@clare.cam.ac.uk and to discuss booking virtual events in the spring or summer.

In normal times, if your school lies within one of our Link Areas then the SLOs will be happy to come out to see you and run workshops, information sessions and activities with your students. We also firmly believe in ensuring teachers are equipped to answer questions about Cambridge and the admissions process, so we are happy to run training sessions for staff as well.

For a full list of available activities please see the Activities page, although if you have something particular in mind we can either adapt an existing acitivity (all of which are tailored to the age of the group, their ability etc.) or come up with something brand new.

Sessions can last anywhere from 30 minutes to a whole day and the SLOs are happy to work with students of any age. If you are teaching at a school in Tower Hamlets, Hackney, Coventry or Warwickshire please get in touch.

Access Tour

Every year, the college runs an 'Access Tour' to the Coventry and Warwickshire areas. The SLOs and accompanying undergraduates visit two or three schools each day over the course of a week, giving presentations and talking to as many school students as possible about university life. The Access Tour cannot take place this year, but will be reistated in later years!
