Santander Post-Doctoral Senior Studentship in Portuguese Literary and Cultural Studies

Applications are invited for the post of Santander Post-Doctoral Senior Studentship in Portuguese Literary and Cultural Studies, tenable at Clare College, Cambridge.  The Studentship is tenable for up to three years subject to satisfactory annual appraisal, and the successful candidate will be expected to take up appointment on 1 October 2012. It is intended on the one hand that the post will allow the successful applicant to become fully involved in the life of the College on a par with the Fellows, and on the other to contribute to the research and teaching activities of the Department. The postholder will be expected to engage in research at post-doctoral level, and to contribute to teaching up to six hours a week within the Department during Full Term. This may include lectures, seminars, classes, and supervision of undergraduate students. The candidate will be expected to hold a PhD. They will have a strong profile, both in terms of research and publications, and with the promise to bring an outstanding input to the Department of Spanish and Portuguese. They will be expected to have a native or excellent non-native command of Portuguese and English. Candidates will be invited to apply with an outline of their proposed research.

The pensionable scale of stipend for this post is £22,608 fixed for three years.
