The main postgraduate degree is the Ph.D. which requires a minimum of nine terms (three years) of supervised research, but there is a wide range of options lasting one or two years which lead to various Certificates and Diplomas or to an M.Phil or M.Litt degree. Clare also welcomes applications for those wishing to study for a part-time PhD.

If you are a graduate (having achieved a first or upper second class Honours, or equivalent) with an approved degree from another university, you can apply to take a Cambridge BA course as an affiliated student. This means you could take the degree in a year less than usual. For more information about applying as an affiliated student, please see the Affiliated Students page
