The Mentor Scheme
Every year Clare College runs a Mentor Scheme in partnership with Clifford Chance and KPMG for year 12 students from Tower Hamlets. This consists of four sessions, held at the offices of each of the sponsors (including Clare), which focus on improving interview skills, how to write a good personal statement, how to choose a university and course, and how to survive the university applications process. Students work with mentors taken from each of the sponsoring companies, as well as students from Clare College.

In order to reach Clare College in time for the 11am start, we advise that you book a seat on the 08:58 train from Liverpool Street direct to Cambridge. Tickets can be booked in advance, and this will save money. Your train fares will be reimbursed by the college, so please ensure that you keep your receipts and tickets.
- The College is a 20 minute walk from the train station, and our postcode is CB2 1TL which you may need to help you find us. Please arrive at our Old Court entrance on Trinity Lane, where someone will meet you.
- The day will finish no later than 03:30pm, so please allow enough time to reach your train home.
We understand that some students will be fasting during the visit, and a room will be available to use for prayers should you wish to.
