Lost Property
During the course of a year many items of lost property are handed into the Porters' Lodges, these are logged and stored pending a claimant coming forward. All property is retained for a two month period after which it is disposed of. We do all that we can to find the owners of lost valuable items prior to the items being disposed of.
We dispose of items in two ways: serviceable items are disposed of at local charity shops; valuable items are sold and the proceeds given to a charity.
