Clare College Cambridge

Clare College Music Society

CCMS is one of the most highly regarded music societies in Cambridge and there are many opportunities for Clare students to get involved in music. As well as regular recitals on Monday lunchtimes and Thursday evenings in the College Chapel (some, generally of more contemporary repertoire, are in the cellars), orchestral and choral concerts are held in West Road Concert Hall every term. Recent performances have included major works such as Tchaikovsky's Violin Concerto and Beethoven's Third Symphony. A series of CCMS Opera productions is now in its 6th year, and the Clare Players concert series offers a platform for all Clare musicians to perform.

This year will include performances of Tchaikovsky's 'Nutcracker' Suite and Haydn's Creation in West Road Concert Hall, as well as regular post-concert parties and other exciting social events, including the infamous CCMS Dinner...
